HUMANITARIAN ANALYSIS
We equip crisis responders with tools to address the world's disasters
ACAPS supports the work of the humanitarian community, with a special focus on severity and trends. Our dedicated team evaluates the current situation of more than 100 key emergencies worldwide to help anticipate and respond to emerging crises.
We provide high-quality, independent, and multisectoral analysis to enable crisis responders to better understand and subsequently address the needs of the affected populations while strengthening the assessment ecosystem.
Today, ACAPS runs Analysis Hubs in Amman, with a focus on the Yemen crisis, and Cox’s Bazar, with a focus on the Rohingya refugees crisis. Using the information assessed in these hubs, we produce granular analytical products in close collaboration with stakeholders and experts.
Our agility defines our work and enables us to design short- to medium-term crisis projects ad hoc.
We are a young organisation, but we have been busy! Since our launch in 2009, ACAPS has produced over 500 reports and counting.

CAPACITY BUILDING
We help strengthen the humanitarian ecosystem
ACAPS has gained a strong reputation for its technical know-how and transparency in regard to its sources. To date, we have completed over 100 training sessions and workshops with key humanitarian organisations, with participants experiencing very successful results. By constantly improving our products and approach, we are driving innovation and inventive thinking within the humanitarian ecosystem.
Over the past decade, we have trained more than 80 junior analysts to reinforce the analytical capacity of humanitarian architecture. We also run the Humanitarian Analysis Programme (HAP), which aims to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the individuals responsible for analysis within their respective organisations.
ADVOCACY
We help you make better-informed decisions
As an independent organisation, we are free from any operational and sectoral agendas. We encourage those involved in the humanitarian response to apply an evidence-based approach to decision-making. In our daily work, we campaign for other humanitarian organisations to use primary data sources and independent qualitative analysis to make better-informed decisions.
