This report seeks to considers the differentiated impacts of the conflict on women, men, girls, and boys, how these impacts are linked to the drivers of the conflict, and how they interplay with key features of the context. 

As at 20 January 2024, almost one million children were estimated to be internally displaced within Gaza. Most were in the southern Rafah governorate bordering Egypt, currently the most populated governorate in the Gaza Strip.

From the beginning of the Sudan conflict on 15 April to 10 December, at least 555,000 people crossed from Sudan into Chad, including an estimated 450,000 Sudanese refugees and 98,500 Chadian returnees.
