WORKING AT ACAPS

We share seven values: agency, candour, integrity, diversity, evolution, ambition, and collaboration. We give people ownership of their work, we say what we think, and we expect the same from everyone regardless of role or seniority.

Unfortunately there are no vacancies at the moment.

Our work is fast-paced and driven by real-world events. Analysts monitor active crises, assess emerging risks, and produce evidence that feeds directly into humanitarian response. No two weeks are the same. We value people who are curious, rigorous, and comfortable working with uncertainty.

our hiring

process

1. Apply

Submit your application through our job portal. We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to respond within 2 weeks, although we might take a bit longer if there is a large response.

2. Call with our recruiter

Shortlisted candidates have a short initial call with our recruiter to find out if we have a potential match. This is also where we discuss details of benefits, salary and working conditions. We don’t want surprises to come up all the way at the end.

3. Test

For some positions, we ask you to complete a test before moving to the interview stage. Sometimes, we might do this before the call with the recruiter. We try to keep our tests short and reasonable. We want to assess your competence; not make you do free work for us.

3. Interview(s)

If you are selected, the first interview is remote. If you are based in one of our hub locations, we might also ask you to come in for an in-person interview before hiring you. We try to limit ourselves to 2 interviews at most and to no more than 3 interviewers per session.

4. Vetting and offer

Successful candidates receive a conditional written offer. Offers are conditional upon successful reference checks and a number of background checks. The latter can vary by country. ACAPS is a member of the misconduct disclosure scheme and will perform checks there as well.

The success of our work depends on the integrity and diversity of our team.
