Analyst traineeship programme

dsc00464.jpgWe offer a traineeship programme for students and graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in the humanitarian sector and want to gain relevant work experience. Our traineeship programme lasts 12 months and is designed for progressive and constant learning.

Our trainees are mentored personally by a designated analyst and benefit from internal training by ACAPS staff, as well as thematic trainings by outside experts and other organisations. Trainee analysts for the CrisisInsight team are following on a daily basis a portfolio of approximately 5 to 10 countries and report on the humanitarian situation with a weekly update. Trainee analysts for the Rapid Analysis Team deliver analysis and briefing notes on rapid onset crises upon request (typically within 24 hours), conduct long-term research and deliver original research. The two teams work closely together. As a trainee analysts you will be trained to fulfil both functions.

You will gain significant expertise in both quantitative and qualitative analysis of humanitarian crises. Within two-three months, you will have acquired the core basics for the regular work at ACAPS, and will be able to move on to other analytical products. There are also opportunities to lead projects.
