The pandemic has impacted gender, people with disabilities, and LGBTIQ+ individuals differently. In response to poor economic conditions, caused by measures taken to mitigate the pandemic, pre-existing negative coping strategies might become more widespread and new behaviours could be introduced. Humanitarian programming needs to adapt to these new needs and identify which groups can be further represented in needs assessments and mobilised in the response to ensure its efficacy.
