We equip crisis responders to better address the world's disasters
ACAPS supports the humanitarian community by providing up-to-date information on more than 40 key crises around the globe. We cover every crisis – as and when it happens. ACAPS provides high quality, independent and multi-sectoral analysis. This enables crisis responders to better understand and consequently, to better address the needs of the affected population, and at the same time strengthening the assessment ecosystem.
We are a young startup, but we’ve been busy. Since we launched in 2009, ACAPS has produced over 500 reports and counting.
We create specific reports to meet your needs
ACAPS can produce tailored analytical products, scenario building workshops, and field assessments on request for your organisation. These services supplement your own work in a collaborative learning environment and support your decision-making mechanisms.

We strengthen the humanitarian sector as a whole
ACAPS has gained a strong reputation for its technical know-how and the quality of its sources. So far we have completed over 100 training sessions and workshops with key humanitarian organisations, with very successful results. By constantly improving our products and approach, we are driving innovation and new thinking in the humanitarian assessment sector.
We invest time and expertise in a new generation of humanitarian workers with a 12-month traineeship. Every year, 10 new highly qualified information analysts, who have completed the ACAPS traineeship, reinforce the capacity of the humanitarian system.
ACAPS, funded principally by EU humanitarian aid (ECHO) and with additional support from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is also re-designing and expanding its internal training programme through the Humanitarian Analysis Programme. This programme —currently in a pilot phase— will help those responsible for analysis to hone their analytical skills and improve the quality of the analysis carried out within their organisations.
We help you make better-informed decisions
Being independent of specific operational and sectoral agendas or interests allows us to encourage everyone involved in humanitarian response to seek more of an evidence-based approach to decision-making. In our daily work, we campaign for humanitarian organisations to use more information direct from the field and a greater level of independent qualitative analysis when making and implementing key decisions.
